Applications of Flange Mount Bearings

Flange mount bearings are bearing units that are contained inside a housing unit. The housing provides a rigid and secure position while allowing the bearing unit to rotate within a clean contained environment. The housing is bolted to a foundation allowing the outer ring of the bearing to remain stationary while the inner ring rotates. Flange mount bearings support heavy loads when the shaft axis is perpendicular to the mounting surface, which can flex the shaft and create harmful vibration.
